I saw this kid the other day, and his dad or somebody was taking a picture. The kid had a gun of some sort and he was standing in front of the Star Wars guys. That kid was totally into it too! He had this snarl on his face like, "I'm gonna' shoot anyone in the ass who tries to mess with this picture. That means you too, Dad!"
The Star Wars guys were cool too. They looked kinda like that Boba Fett guy, but they were all different.

After the rains, Destroyer!
The military have been hitting this one area REALLY hard. I don't know what it is but they're at it non-stop. The concussions are intense and at night . . . the colors. Not sure if it's what kind of weapon it is or what they're using them on that's giving off those flashes of violet and pink. With the smoke billowing. . . Maybe it has something to do with the air here inside the Danger Zone.
I've moved away from the area so as not to get swept up again by the military patrols. (See earlier posts and dispatches)
The rain has definitely caused havoc with my gear. Also, the snow is all ice and slush now and that makes it harder to travel. Many of the roads and streets are flooded with 6-12 inches of water.
For now I am camping out in a lean-to on the roof of what appears to have been a school. I watch, from a very safe distance, as the military pounds the shit out of something.
Through the blasts I think I hear a faint sound. Sounds like . . . something. Something in pain.

Abnormal weather we're having here, isn't it?
The Danger Zone's weather is . . . different. There is at least 6 ft. of snow and I'm not measuring the drifts. Today, however, I felt like the sun was going to burn through the ever-present "haze".
Now it's 20 below and I've dug a tunnel in the snow, to a shoe store where I am setting up camp for the night. Wish I could show you a picture. It's fantastic.

Starting over. . .
After a 3 weeks in the Danger Zone, a military patrol picked me up and "detained" me and confiscated all my tech. I was held in a border camp just twenty miles from my original entry point. Today, after they went through all my recordings, Capt. Homer let me have my complog back. He won't tell me what they're looking for or why I'm being detained. They also took my music. . .

Snow, and lots of it (curious footprints as well)
It's been snowing, hard and heavy for 3 or 4 days (time blurs in the Danger Zone). Everything is covered in four feet of snow. Wasn't able to get any signal due to severe atmospheric interference, that's why I haven't posted sooner.
Found shelter in an abandoned building before the storm started. Took precautions by heading to second floor and destroying the stairs behind me. (I know they say it's a myth, but I wanted to be safe.) There was a hearth in one of the upstairs rooms, so was able to find enough wood to burn to keep warm.
I am unsettled when I see the amount of tracks in the snow. Especially the many seemingly bipedal footprints. Going in and out of the building I'm in.
I'm going to sit here by the fire for a few minutes more before heading out. I crank the music up. Public Image Ltd. - The Order of Death. I sip my tea in deep thought.

The Danger Zone, some music and me.
Into the fog.
As I set out on foot, to explore the outer edge of the DZ (Danger Zone), I fire up my music. Grayceon - Still the Desert.
It's cold and early. Only my daughter, Katana, has shown up to see me off. The moment I step over the border, I turn to look back at her. She looks worried. I wave, give her the thumbs up, smile (although she can't see my face behind the filter mask) and turn back toward the DZ. I turn the music up louder. Then, forward, into the early morning fog of the Danger Zone.
